• I’m redesigning an art gallery website in WordPress. I would like to use the picture framing functionality of the existing website and put it into a WordPress website. I would like to be able to create a custom page or post template so that when a picture is inserted into a page or post, it would automatically insert the picture into the middle of the picture frame. I plan on using the existing code for the picture frame so I don’t have to manually insert the code in every new page created. I just don’t know how to work it into the page (or post) template. Does anyone know if this can be done? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Ah Adobe GoLive, good memories of that software.
For your new WP site, offhand I would say short of creating your own plugin or paying one to do so with necessary scripts to create the effects you have, it might be faster to use a plugin to embed iframe within the post for that specific gallery

Thanks for the help but I’m not sure that’s going to do what I’m looking for. The website has hundreds of different paintings inside that same frame and will continue to add new paintings. It would be a good option if there wasn’t going to be anymore paintings because I could link to each existing painting page. However, the goal is to make it easier and more user friendly for anyone to update the website. Is there a way or a plugin that could be modified to wrap the code used for the frame around any pictures that are posted to a page (or post)?
