    Hello everyone,

I am a WordPress newbie (otherwise I have some experience online) and here is my first question.

I wanted to make my WordPress site look like a website and not like a blog. So I have set a static homepage. However after successfully setting my static homepage, custom menu that I had in my left navigation bar disappeared from all pages.

Here is my homepage URL http://surgerymanual.com that was set as a static homepage.

Here is one of inner pages URL that also have lost custom navigation
    http://surgerymanual.com/ligature-of-arteries/

Can anyone point me out what I did wrong?
    Thanks in advance!

The default page template in Twenty eleven does not include a sidebar. Perhaps you need to look for another theme?

Edit any page (including the one your using as your homepage) and set it to use the "Sidebar Template" in the "Page Attributes" meta box. That should add your sidebar to that page.
