Custom location of WP-CONTENT

    As said in Editing wp-config.php codex site, I tried to change the location of my WP file but nothing displays when implementing that code.

    Site URL: http://domain.com/
    WP URL: http://domain.com/site

    Intended new location of wp-content folder is outside the WP folder called assets

    I moved the folder wp-content inside assets and appended
    define('WP_CONTENT_URL', 'http://domain.com/assets/wp-content');
    to the end of the wp-config.php file and as a result I get an empty site!
    What’s happening?
