Custom layout editing "twentytwelve" theme -- having plugin difficulty (7 posts)

    Hello there,

I'm not very experienced with coding wordpress, however I wanted to take a layout made for me and plug it into wordpress as best as I could.

I've edited the header/index/footer to work out:
    http://coldblank.com/site2/

However, the minute I activate any plugin, my layout gets all messed up, into something like this:
    http://coldblank.com/site2/plugin.html

If ya guys can offer some insight/recommendations, I'd appreciate it as I'd hate to only use external plugins. I really like jetpack.

    -edit-

If ya need me to provide anything else, let me know!

In http://coldblank.com/site2/plugin.html, I see two error in console log:

Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'niceScroll'.
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'tweet'

    Maybe JavaScript conflict?

First off, you need to start over and use a Child Theme for any modifications to twentytwelve -
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

As is, all your changes will be lost when WP is updated.

thank ya -- definitely not start over, but duplicate the folder & activate the child theme. thanks for the heads up.

Do you have a child theme set up - it's not visible on your site?

That doesn't look like it's a normally functioning WP site - how did you create it? Your child theme is also missing the @import line in the CSS file...
