• Hi all,

I have a custom homepage (using one of my pages).
eg. myblogname.com (actually is page called “Home”)

But I would also like users to view the index page of my blog like a normal front page
eg. myblogname.com/blog/ (has all my posts like a normal blog index)

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

    1. Changed front page in settings to point to a Page
    2. Replicated the index.php in my theme folder, and I called it blog.php & added the template name to the top
    3. Created a new page called “Blog”, using the blog.php template

But going to myblogname.com/blog doesn’t bring up the posts!

I’ve already asked in the IRC channel (hopeless) and checked the following forum posts:
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/147617
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/154540

Is someone out there able to tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    Davexw

  • The missing step #4 from the original post (OP)

    4. Select that page as your “posts page” in the same place!
