Custom Homepage and widget? is that how it works?

    I wanted to know…

    if i create a custom homepage… would i have to hardcode all the information within the new page php file as it wouldn’t be accesssable from the backend? ie. like all the pages in dashboard.

    Or do i have to create a template with widgets in order to access it via my dashboard?
