There are a few other posts with this issue but not a clear resolution.

I got my header to show up in Safari but it does not show up in other browsers.

I do not know how to read or write code but I seem to be able to figure most of this stuff out with time.

Please explain exactly where and how to make changes in the code if necessary.

    thank you.

Can anyone help me with this? I heard about something called Firebug, if I use that will it still work in Safari and other browsers?
    thank you

The easiest way to do this is to name your new header kubrickheader.jpg. Then go to themes/default/images and rename the original kubrickheader.jpg kubrickheaderold.jpg and move your new header into that directory.

You can do all this with FTP.

BTW, I use the same theme on my site and the above is what I did. There are other ways but this is the easiest I think. If you need a larger image, change the size in the CSS.

Thank you but this is exactly what I did, I named my custom header
kubrickheader.jpg and put in in the folder. It works in safari but does not
show up in firefox or IE.

    What now?

    EDITED:
Your header is saved as a tif file and not a jpeg. Save it as a jpg and upload it to the server again.

Thank you so much, that worked. I am not sure why it was saved as .tiff but I am grateful you were able to see that and it was resolved.
