custom header image not showing up

I made a custom header image that I want to place into an existing template. I uploaded the image, and deleted the original image. When I click on the URL for the new image all looks fine, however the new image does not show up in my page, the original theme image still shows up, even though I deleted it from the images folder.

Things I’ve tried: keeping the image name the same, renaming the image, uplaoding via FTP, uplaoding via the cpanel……

Does the original theme image exist somewhere else that i don’t know about? how could it still be showing up??
