    Hi guys -

    I've read around on this specific topic but can't find my answer. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I have a blog on blogger with a custom domain. I am trying to transfer the entire blog to WP. I'd like to be able to transfer all the content from blogger to WP and tweak before I point the domain servers to my site's URL. I'd like to do all this without the site being live.

    If I install WP through FatCow (my host) to my custom domain http://www.mysite.com will it bring down my blogger site? My intuition says "NO!" but I am nervous.

    Is there another way to get my blog to WP, tweak it 100% to satisfaction, and then make it live without affecting the blogger site in the meantime?

    Clear as mud? :)

    Thanks!

    @samboll

    My old blog is a Blogger with a custom domain (www.example.com) that I want to move to WordPress with the same custom domain (www.example.com) But Google is hosting it at the moment. I've purchased hosting from FatCow - but how do I set up the new site for WordPress and import content from Blogger on the custom domain? I can't install WP on http://www.example.com because Google is hosting it.

    Should I install WP on another domain like http://www.example.fatcow.com and then move it from there to http://www.example.com?

    Thanks again for your help.
