I have setup a website on the WordPress platform for a client and it relies heavily on the custom fields. The client is having trouble when adding custom fields in older versions of browsers (i.e. IE6, Safari 1.X.X). Is there a way to get the custom fields to work correctly in these browsers?

Not seeing that problem, at least with IE6.
Does the problem happen in Write->Post or Write->Page? Note, attaching custom fields to a Page requires the Page first be saved, then in Manage->Pages, enter the custom fields.
Please note I'm using 2.3.
