Custom fields no longer working (4 posts)

    Hello,

Thanks for taking a look at my post. I am working on a site that uses custom fields to have a image slider on the homepage and display info in the header image. After moving the site from a local server to a live server anything that was controlled by a custom field no longer shows up/works correctly.

Is there a setting that I'm missing? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Steve,

Some more info here would be great. First off, is it a wordpress site, or just some random site? If it is not a wordpress site you are asking the wrong crowd. If it is, are any error codes generated, or what specifically is not showing up?

If you could provide a link to your live site with more information on what we are looking at that would help.

    Thx,

    Mark

    Hey mark,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, this is a wordpress site. The theme that I'm using is here: http://themeforest.net/item/business-professional-package-wordpress-edition/full_screen_preview/30008

The site that I'm working on right now is: http://ignightbuildingservices.com/blog/

There are two main issues that I'm having associated with custom fields.

    1) The email, phone and address in the top right corner of the header are controlled by custom fields. I was able to get mine to show up by just editing the header.php file directly, rather than use custom fields.

    2) The main page image slider is also associated to custom fields. Right now I just have one image on there, so the left and right buttons won't do anything. If you take a look at the theme link you can see it in action.

    Thank you,
    Steve

it turns out that this was a file permission issue. thank you to those that took a look at the question.
