   My when I go to add or edit a post the Custom Fields are not there. I look directly below my post entry here the drop accordian option should be but not Custom Field selection.

   Anyone else had this issue?

   i have exactly the same issue - the custom fields option is not shown in any of my bogs?

   i Got this problem too.. i think this is because of the theme u are currently use.

   yeah seriously WTF?????? i had a site that a client needed today and i cant explain why freaking custom fields are gone

   I am getting this same issue after updating to 3.1. The custom fields worked previously. What changed?

   thank you for your response. I did everything on that list. I am using the same theme on two different sites. Both have 3.1. One has the custom fields and one does have anything(discussion, author, custom fields, ect) below the post except some fields that are generated by plugins.

   ya know, I wonder how many things I would not have problems with if I actually read them from top to bottom. I did the alternative and did not even check the screen options.

    For those that are reading this and don't want to go thru everything on that link.

    If you recently upgraded to 3.1 and custom fields disappeared try going to the posts page (where you would edit the post and expect to find the custom fields box).

    Up in the upper left side there are screen options that allow you to select what you would boxes you would like to see under the edit post field.

    These options are different for each page withing the dashboard.

    Also, if you didn't notice these boxes are all arrangeable by click and drag.
