Hi @reason1234,
Greetings and thanks for posting! The plugin does utilize some custom fields so those would be available in the custom fields list.
Do you need that custom field feature to show though? You can hide it through the Screen Options tab.
Would that work for you?
Cheers,
David
Hi David, thanks for getting back to me.
Custom fields are something that we are utilising on this site, yes, so turning off the display in Screen Options wouldn’t work in this case.
There are 3 custom fields that the site editor needs to add values for when adding a new post. It’s become a bit more confusing now, I was just checking to see if there’s a way to around this before explaining the change to them.
Best wishes, Andrew
Hi @reason1234,
Thanks for your reply, I did a bit of digging and threw together some code that can help here:
add_filter('is_protected_meta', 'popup_is_protected_meta_filter', 10, 2);
function popup_is_protected_meta_filter($protected, $meta_key) {
$test_string = substr( $meta_key, 0, 3 );
if ( 'po_' == $test_string ) {
return true;
}
return $protected;
}
That should hide all the custom fields that begin with ‘po_’ from that custom field meta-box. You can add that to your theme’s functions.php or using Code Snippets:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
How does that work for ya? 🙂
Cheers, David
DAVID! WOW!.
Excellent stuff, really sorry for not getting back sooner. This has made a nice clean simple process for the website Editor now. Really appreciate it.
Best wishes, Andrew
