I am trying to create an archive index accoring to the instructions at codex.wordpress.org but I'm having a problem.
When I go to set the custom field to _wp_page_template I can't because there is no drop down box for me to select it from.
I have done this on previous blogs and I don't understand why it's not showing up this time. Did I not set something up correctly?

Don't bother adding a custom field manually if you want to select a custom template.
Under Page Options, there should be a drop down box called Page Template. Use this to select your custom template.
BTW, nice looking site:) However, your home link appears to go to http://www.bleikamp.com/stage/ rather than http://www.bleikamp.com
