   I've been trying to develop my own themes using local installs of WordPress to test.

   Using MAMP is fine, I can happily add content etc. using the admin interface, but when I create my own theme, all the content of the templates is included in the description of the theme.

   Hopefully the image below shows what's going on.

   any ideas?!

   Wrong line endings caused by your editor.
