Custom connect image or text?

    Hi Dan,

    Just testing your plugin as it seems a good candidate to replace the discontinued Simple Google Connect which we use for gSSO on our sites. Looking good!

    One question: would it be possible to replace the “Login with Google” text with our own text or better yet a submit button just like the one below it? And to remove that bold “or” between the Google login link and the WP login form?

    In any case, I’m happy to finaly find a replacement for the login function that was in Simple Google Connect. Great work!

    Thank you for getting in touch. Please do note that we are better able to offer support via email – contact@wp-glogin.com. Anyway, I picked this up now!

    Regarding configuration of the login screen, the only real configuration is available in the premium version, where you can completely remove the WordPress username/password boxes (including the ‘OR’ and the Submit button). However, even then you can’t change the ‘Login with Google’ text unless you change the language translations.

    So your best option would probably just to dive into the plugin code and change the text yourself. The only problem then would be that updates to the plugin would overwrite it, and you would have to change the text again.

    I’m afraid we don’t have any plans to allow such configuration into the plugin – no-one else needed the button changing so far, so would rather not confuse things for the masses!

    The other option that might be of interest to you is the Advanced Setting causing the login page to always automatically redirect to the Google login flow. Assuming everyone is using Google to login, then they wouldn’t really need to see the login page at all.

    Not bad as an alternative…

    About the language translation, I’ll be doing a French translation soon (at least for the public text strings, which is not much) … Will you be interested to add it to the plugin for a future update?

    I’d be very pleased to include the French translation in future updates!
