[resolved] Custom Community Child Theme misalignments (7 posts)

    I've made a child theme of Custom Community so I could make a minor change to the header for the sake of an SEO plugin, but I notice that the list elements in the sidebar and in the menu across the top are misaligned in the child template (too far to the right).

    What's the fix? Is some code missing from the child template? I have style.css and header.php only and I see nothing in them that might affect this. The rest of the code, I suppose, are being taken from the original template. There is some stuff in the theme settings CSS tab, but this was in the original theme too. The blog is at:

    Thanks in advance...

    Hi - no, is there a special one? I just made my own following the usual instructions. Is there some significant difference to the usual set-up with this theme? I suppose it can't hurt to try it...

    in your css include lines, what did you pull in?
    I just pull the reset.css

    */
    Template: custom-community-pro

    /* Reset browser defaults */
    @import url( ../custom-community-pro/_inc/css/reset.css );

    Yes, that's all I'm using... I'm going to look around for that Themekraft child theme though: if it works, it will bypass whatever error has crept into my code - although I don't remember adding anything to style.css at all.

    OK... I have looked at the example child theme of Themekraft: all they do is pull in the stylesheet of the original theme with an include statment, and have no other code.

    What I had done was include the reset but copy and paste the original styles in after that. It worked for a while...

    Anyway, doing it their way works.

    Hi, folks.
    I had the same issue with menus both in my local machine and in the real website. I have spent two days browsing all the suggestions made by Themekraft and other forums. After all the tries the problem remained unsolved until I tried the lines below:

    /* Reset browser defaults */
    @import url(../custom-community/_inc/css/reset.css );

    It is working fine in both cases, until now.
