Hi, I was hoping someone could help me. I am pretty new at wordpress. I created a "blog" page on my wordpress site and have specific categories filter to that page. I set-up a query array with "category_name" in a new template page called "blog" which works but I can't comment on the posts. I know it's not my settings in my WP Admin because I can have the other pages have the ability to leave comments and I made sure that comments are set to "allow". I am fully aware of creating a static home page but I would prefer to create an array by "category_name" since I want to use this in other places on my site. The link to the site is http://designremedyinc.com/indyme/ and if you click on the "blog" page you can see 2 posts that I have created. I also checked and I do have <?php comments_template( '', true ); ?> on my loop.php page.
Comments are closed on both of those blog posts.

Esmi, if you are still there perhaps you will try to help me also. I am experiencing the same problem - comments box not working on blog.
I have gone back and double checked every post - Allow comments is checked. I created a static home page and blog as per the WP instructions. I have a Blog page in the menu structure with Allow Comments checked, and I am able to post to this page.
My URL is http://bigsurfineart/mylar.com
Any insights / possibilities / assistance greatly appreciated.
There's nothing at that url.

Possibly useful additional information.
I am using the WP folio theme and colorbox plugin.
In the Permalinks, Settings screen I have selected the option just above custom.
I am able to activate comments and have them function properly on pages other than Blog.
Don't know enough to say any more.
In what way is the comment form broken?
Do you mean on the actual page that shows your blog posts? WordPress automatically removes the comment form for that page (just like the original home page before you set up a static one). Like esmi indicated, the comment forms for your individual blog posts are fine.
Also, starting a new topic is usually the best way to ask questions; the questions might be similar but the details/reasons/solutions can be different. Plus, since this topic was marked as resolved, new questions can easily be missed.
