• hello,
I would like to ask you how to edit footer.
Basically I want to change to footer and want it in grey backround and text there (cca 4 lines)….it should cover all width of the footer.(web)

Who would be so kind and write me a short code??
Thank you. This is for me the last modification and then I can start to use my side..

  • Well, this is a support forum rather than a way to get other people to write your code for you 🙂

But if you post a link to your site, we’ll take a look at it and try to suggest some things you could do to get the result you want.

    Yes I know.
    my page is http://www.etfs.sk
My goal is to have something like http://www.proinvestory.cz

thank you in advance if you find some spare time…

You appear to have two footers. One is identified with the id of ‘footer’. The other one is a div with the class ‘content_footer_menu’.

The two are unrelated, in that the first one is a child of body > site, whereas the second is a direct descendant of the page body element.

Is there any reason for this? On the example site you give, everything is within the div with the id of ‘footer’, which appears to me to make much more sense and certainly makes the applying of styles a lot easier.

no there is not a reason for that. I was just trying different plugins.
I do not need the first footer.Just as it is on example given.

i can’t really explain you need to edit the code!, if you want email a username and password to keiranwalton09@hotmail.co.uk and ill have a go!

To change the colour of the footer, just add a new CSS rule for the #footer element, with the properties you want to the end of your (child) theme’s style sheet. A child theme would be preferable.

You don’t need to give anyone a username and password and I’d be very suspicious of anyone who asks for one. I’m not sure the forum moderators would be happy, either.
