   I'm running into a problem where I don't know how to add custom wp admin navigation menus. I'm a PHP programmer, so I don't mind getting my hands dirty with the code if I need to.

   I feel kind of stupid asking something that seems like it should be easy, but I haven't found what I'm looking for so far.

   I want to add a section to the admin menu where "Posts", "Media", "Links", "Pages", and "Comments" are.

   You might be able to use the Admin Menu Editor plugin.
