Currently I am getting 404 link errors when clicking on Old Entries, Archives, Categories links.
When I click on the Valid XHTML there are 8 errors which are related to embedded flash videos which I resently addded.
Is it possible the code from these added flash videos has corrupted the MYSQL database?
I am able to link into Site Admin.
Wouldn't have thought so, but never say never.
Have you been playing around with your Permalinks lately? Or added/changed/updated any plugins? Or edited your .htaccess file?
Go to:
Admin > Settings > Permalinks
Switch to the default structure, then save changes.
Switch back to the previous structure. Save changes again.
What happens?
Please reset your .htaccess file using the above method by @alism , just SAVE the settings once again and WordPress should rewrite the .htaccess file automatically.
Also check that if you are using Custom Structure the value mentioned is correct eg /%postname%/

No.
Go to:
Admin > Settings > Permalinks
Switch to the default structure, then save changes.

I had permalinks set to custom which had been working.
As you suggested, I switched to the default and saved.
Now the links work.
