Current Version or Last Version? (3 posts)

I am running many WP blogs. To be honest, we have had a couple that didn't get updated over the last six months and it appears a security vulnerability existed that didn't get well advertised.

I find the new oraganization of this site to be very confusing. It now appears that 2.0 is the latest stable version, but then it also appears that many people are having problems getting it up and running. Is it in fact stable, or does it have significant bugs at this point.

It appears that 1.5.2 cures the problem that we have been experiencing. Is it really time to move to 2.0?

If 2.0 is now current ... why is there a beta section at all here? Shouldn't it be retired?

Yes the sticky at the top of the Beta 2.0 forum says it's closed. It's left 'open' for reference.

Unless you are in a hurry you might want to wait to upgrade to 2.0.1 in several weeks.

The odd thing was that I had joined that list in the past. In fact when 1.2 came out I got an email ... but not since. Wonder what happened ...

So the conclusion is that 2.0 is an improvement, but 2.0.1 is soon to follow?
