• I love the curly quotes feature in WordPress. When I use them inside of parentheses, however, they get reversed out.

For an example, see this post, where the quotes inside (“Four happiness tips…”) are reversed: they point outward toward the parentheses rather than inward towards the words they enclose.

Do other people have this problem, or is it just me? Does anyone know of a fix?

I love curly quotes, so I’d rather not turn off this part of the feature set, but I’m definitely hoping I can get it to work right.

  • Try putting the quotes inside the <a href="..."></a> … that may be what’s causing the trouble.

That worked… thank you for the tip.

FWIW, it would be nice to have the quotes work even when they’re not included in the anchor tag. If anybody has a tip for how I could modify the texturizer script to do this (I assume that’s what controls this) I would appreciate it.
