[resolved] Curious Feed Problem (8 posts)

My feed validates:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A//futureprogress.net/feed/

However when I view my feed through a browser (FF2 or IE7) I receive tag mismatch errors:
http://futureprogress.net/feed/

Curious-er still, the line #s of the tag mismatch errors change which seems to be randomly (hit f5 a bunch of times and watch the line #s change).

While viewing my feed via feedburner (which was pinged and has the latest) I see the same tag mismatch errors with line # flucuation.

Now, when validating the feedburner version I get one warning "Image link doesn't match channel link" but it still validates:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A//feeds.feedburner.com/gabrielkent/futureprogress

I poked around the code to see what I could and nothing stuck out...all looks well. Plus I haven't edited any of the WP core files (just themes and plugins).

So...at this point I am at a loss, anyone see this before or perhaps have some insight into this issue?

Any help is much appreciated...cause this is quite curious.

Thanks...

I have been searching around the forums and it almost all the feed related issues are related to niceadminname...which is obviously not the case here...

As such I am still quite perplexed. Can anyone help me out with this?

Regards...

What is a "tag mismatch" error?
Where do I look in your feed to see one?

Thanks for your time HandySolo....

ok so thats the trick...when I view the feed in a browser:
http://futureprogress.net/feed/

I get:

XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected:
.
Location: http://futureprogress.net/feed/
Line Number 60, Column 5:

------------------^

However if I refresh the page a few times the line # and sometimes the tag that is mismatched changes, as another example:

XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected:
.
Location: http://futureprogress.net/feed/
Line Number 289, Column 5:

------------------^

So it appears to error at random places, though the feed itself validates.

Do you see this as well?

Oddly enough, nope. I can't reproduce it. :-/

Hmm...so to confirm the feed appears OK in your browser?

Afraid so, tried with FF2.0.0.3, IE7 and Opera 9.2, all on Windows. Refreshed multiple times for each.

Only issue I have with the feed so far is how dang HUGE it is. :-p
