I'm a web developer and when I edit post content code in WordPress I hit ctrl+s to save the post every time (I just can't break the habit, haha), which bring's up firefox's save as prompt. Can we have ctrl+s save the post on a post edit page?

Firefox's settings would over-ride it, I suspect :/
i suggest somthing like: jQuery Hotkeys Plugin :)
https://github.com/jeresig/jquery.hotkeys
I suggested this to Mark Jaquith through twitter some time ago, who forwarded to Jane Wells. It seemed well received. I'd suspect this is something that anyone who codes often does daily.
Perhaps we will see this in a future version. If not, I might take it on as a way to contribute.
@Jeff Make a feature request on trac. I would love to have this feature :)
It's worth taking a look at this plugin, as well:

Looks like it fits the bill perfectly. Pretty simple, and straightforward.
