WP 3.3-RC3 (12/11/2011, and other 3.3-RCx)
Using Chrome 15.0.874.121
In the standard dashboard, creating/editing a post, Ctrl-BkSp no longer deletes previous word, but only does normal BkSp behavior.. I thought this was a standard editor trick (it works in the text area for this bug submission), but it was in 3.2.1 and is gone in the RCs I've seen so far (RC1-RC3).
It's highly useful, and hope it will be back soon.
Thanks.
It's Option (or Alt) Backspace on Macintosh, and I can reproduce this.
This is an upstream bug in TinyMCE and it looks like it only affects WebKit browsers. It has been reported to them and was fixed 10 days ago.
This is too late to be fixed for 3.3, but we might backport the fix for 3.3.1 and it will definitely be fixed by updates to TinyMCE in future versions.
Thanks for the report :)

Yes, very annoying. Does the bug still exist in IE?
Oddly enough, cntrl + shift + <- works.

FWIW, since updating to WordPress v3.3, CTRL-Backspace works for me in Internet Explorer v8 and Firefox v8.0.1, but not in Chrome v16.

So aggravating. Ctrl+Delete and Ctrl+Backspace don't work in WordPress.org and WordPress.com in Chrome. :(
Ctrl+Shift+Delete doesn't do anything either (as asharperrazor suggested).
Any solutions?
Thanks.
Resolved even in Chrome? I really missed this thing in Chrome too.

So when will they be pushing 3.4 to us? I am supposedly up to date, but only have 3.3.2.
Is there a way to grab the update before it's pushed?
Thanks.

End of May(ish)?
