    Hello, thanks in advance

I have a site where the menu and header is the same on all pages.

I am trying to slightly tweek so that on the 'blog' page, the header is at the top with the menu below.

I changed the menus position to FIXED and was able to now move it below the header but it was floating right previously and obviously now it is not.

I want to have the image header above the menu but still have the menu float to the RIGHT under the image (as it does on the home page)

I'm not sure the correct way to implement this

I'm sorry but it is beyond the scope of these forums to deal with pure CSS issues. Try a dedicated CSS resource such as http://www.css-discuss.org/ instead. In the meantime, using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.
