[resolved] css styles and google adsense for search (7 posts)

    I am having trouble with CSS styles regarding fields and buttons.

    When I added google adsense for search in the right column of my site the buttons are all weird.

    Also, I want the fields for my comments to be white with black writing, instead of black with white.

    Can someone help me figure out what I need to change?

    To make the changes for the comment form fields, take a look at the code I copied and modified from your .css at pastebin:

    I didn't put your whole file, b/c it would be real huge, but you can find those two sections and make the four changes and should be good to go. You'll notice that the section this code comes from has a few other comment form styles that you can tweak as needed.

    As for your buttons, how do they look weird? The search button looks fine in Firefox.

    Hey thanks for the help! As for the buttons, in IE, the radio buttons have a white background around them which looks weird against the black background of the page. I'm just not sure how to fix that.

    Ah yes, I never use IE. Not a terribly difficult fix, though.

    First, add this next line to your .css file:

    .searchFormRadio { background-color: #000000; }

    Next, find the code that looks like this (probably in your sidebar.php), and make the addition in bold:

    <td>
    <input
    class="searchFormRadio" type="radio" name="sitesearch" value="" checked="checked"></input>
    <font size="-1" color="#ffffff">Web</font>
    </td>

    Do this for the other radio button too and you should be set. Of course you can change the name of the class to whatever you like, but seemed to make sense to me.

    Hope this helps out.

    Hi! I am having a similar problem adding adsense for search. But I cannot find the appropriate css file to edit. I am using the Blix theme. My site is at http://www.ashpics.com/blog

    A screen shot of what happens when I use the adsense for search code can also be found here (where I include a search option for my domain too): http://techpaedia.com/docs/search.jpg

    Does anyone know which lines I need to change in the Blix CSS to display adsense search correctly?
