CSS sheet restrictions

    hey all,

    With this theme there are a handful of external style sheets (for example, superfish.css). I used FTP to edit them and make style changes to my website but they cannot be edited or opened.

    It gives me a “error 740 the requested operation requires elevation”

    I tried copying the CSS file onto my local machine, editing it and copying back – however the changes do not get saved.

    Is this because i have the free version and there are some restrictions?

    or is it an error with my FTP?

    You should NOT edit any theme files – those changes will be overwritten when the theme is updated. If you want to make CSS modifications, use Custom CSS or a child theme.

    EDIT – changes to theme files WILL be overwritten and lost when the theme is updated.
