• OK, I have a static page that I’m using to design and debug my theme:

I have a couple of problems:

    1) The right sidebar needs to be moved up along side the other sections. If I use “relative”, it shows below and to the right but is inside the presentation area (red line). Using “absolute”, it moves it up but resides partly outside the theme area.

    2) The entire presentation needs to have both sidebars inside so that the page stretches to the max length of either sidebar. As shown, the right and left sidebars bleed below that area.

There will be a header and footer image (blue borders on top and bottom), as well as two images for the middle, one (dusk) will overlay once at the top and blend down to the middle section, which repeats behind that image with a repeat-y.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I need to use the RELATIVE positioning so that the middle section stretches to the bottom; absolute causes both sides to extend below the footer. But no matter what width I try for the right sidebar, it does change width.
