Support » Themes and Templates » CSS: margins/padding for content troubles

  • After much tinkering I’m happy with the margins on my pages now. However, when you enter archives or categories, the id=content seems to be listed twice which gives twice as big a left margin on these pages. the css for the article content is doubled it seems.

I’m looking at this now through the Firefox extension Web Developer. It lists all class and id on the pages. And I’m sure the problem is with the doubled content-listing I’m seeing.

Where/how should I compensate for this? In styles or in the templates for archives? It’s not only an esthetic question… if the content is pushed too far to the right it might interfere with the sidebar and be pushed to the bottom.

I have a Mac and nothing is pushed down at the moment, but a PC user told me earlier that it was there. Would really appreciate any input on this. http://memag.cookiefactory.no/

  • FF1.0.2 – looks picture perfect to me. Don’t see anything wonky on your pages at all, archives and cats just fine – and the cookiefactory page: WOW. Maybe you could release that as a theme for the artistically challenged among us? I’m a theme junkie…..

Really? It looks ok then? … hmmm. Good to hear that nothing is pushed down now. Would still like to have the left margins in archives and categories match the regular pages though. Somehow.
Thank you for your kind words and beta testing!
