[resolved] CSS conflict with Soliloquy - Need help? (4 posts)

    I inserted a Soliloquy gallery on the home page.

    I get a small shaded box with a border just above it, and the gallery itself has the same small shaded box just before the image and it closes just after the image. I think it's a CSS issue that could be resolved by editing the theme style sheet. However, I just can't seem to locate what needs to be changed.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Don't modify theme files - instead use Custom CSS plugin such as jetpack or a Child Theme.

    Try using Firebug to locate the CSS which is creating the problem.

    Those boxes, however, see to be caused by some errant code in your content:

    <p>
    <code></code>
    </p>

    Hi, I've never used Firebug. It did the job! I saw that the Parament Theme had CSS for code (which I didn't look for on my own). Anyway, I just commented out the CSS for code, and it fixed the problem! Thank you!!!

    Like I said above, be aware that any changes you make to theme files will be lost when the theme is updated.

    And in this case, the better fix would be to remove that HTML from your page.
