    Hi to all,

I found this plugin as the best for my use. The only problem with this plugin is not working changes of CSS styles. I was following readme.txt and did copy css style definition into style.css file of my theme. However any changes in css doesnt appear on website! I am out of any ideas how to fix it. Just for full info, I am using following theme http://thetraveltheme.com/. Any other plugin with changed CSS work with no problem...

    Please help me!

    Thanks

    Pavel

I am not the developer of this, but if you send me the specific css changes you made to your style.css file, I will see if I can help.

BTW, is your theme by any chance a child theme? If so, where is the css file you are editing?

    Hi,

the CSS theme is following http://pastebin.com/UzqHrHZF and it is placed in TheTravelTheme\TheTravelTheme\css . I only added the CSS definition to the end of this file as it is written in FAQ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/donate-extra/faq/ . But If I change anything about fonts, colors, etc. nothing has changed on frontend :-(

What do you mean with child theme ?

    Thanks
    Pavel

I don't see any references to #donate-extra styles in these sheets. Can you send me just the styles you added?

What directory is TheTravelTheme\TheTravelTheme\css in? http://www.example.com\wp-content\themes? Why do you have TheTravelTheme as a subdirectory of another TheTravelTheme directory? Is there a style.css file in any of these higher directories?

What is the url of your site? Maybe I can tell something by looking at the source in Firebug.

I'd recommend looking up child theme in the wordpress codex. It will explain it better than I can. But the issue is that a child theme's css will take precedence over any styles in the parent theme css.

There is style.css file in wp-content/themes/TheTravelTheme/style.css but it only includes files /wp-content/themes/TheTravelTheme/css/screen.css and /wp-content/themes/TheTravelTheme/css/skin.php. The file screen.css with donate extra is there http://pastebin.com/VcCeFfNy . As you can see I changed some colors and size of text at Donor wall. But as you can see the change did not appear support-us.

Also there are two another bugs: one with " character as you can see on Donate form and another bug that Donor wall is on the right side next to Donate form.

The funny thing is that as you can see in screen.css there are other plugin's CSS definitions and they actually works perfectly!

The documentation doesn't match the html in the form. Try changing #donate-extra-form to #donateextraform and #donate-extra-wall to #donatewall in the css file and see if that works.

I'm not seeing the " character, unless it is the gray "smudge" under the email box.

Where did you put the [donatewall] shortcode? On this page with the [donateform] shortcode?

Hi I changed it as you recommended and it doesnt work http://www.triparoundtheworld.eu/wp-content/themes/TheTravelTheme/css/screen.css . I found that " characters are blockquoute of the current CSS theme so if I will run Donate extra CSS then I can correct it.
I did put [donateform] and after that [donorwall] on page. That is other funny thing [donatewall] is not valid shortcode, it is just bad documentation... This plugin is full of surprises ;-)

    1. Keep changes I suggested last time.

2> Fix your color codes. You have color: ##70bdff and it should be color: #70bdff with only one #.

    3. {donatewall] may be my mistake, not the docs.

ad 1. I did but it doesnt work as you can see :-(
    ad 2. ok, my fault.

But, when I tried #donorwall instead of #donate-extra-wall then it worked!;-)

So it looks that documentation for this plugin is absolutely useless.

But thanks for leading to solution!

Sorry> I was careless when I said #donatewall. I looked at the code wrong.

Anyway, I'm glad you got it worked out.

    Enjoy your trip!
