CSS Changes aren't showing in Child Theme (10 posts)

I created a child theme for a site I'm doing and have copied the CSS file into the new child them folder but when I make changes to the style.css file in wordpress, it isn't showing the changes to the site, even though the changes are made on the style.css file. Is there another file that needs to be put into the child theme folder for the changes to be activated?

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Have you activated your Child Theme?

Does not appear that you are actually using a child theme -- did you activate it (i.e. you have to switch to it like changing to any other new theme)? Also, your child style.css should not have any styles in it EXCEPT what changes you make. Perhaps review this:

well what I did was simply create a new folder in the same folder as the parent theme and called it child theme and then copied the style.css file over, should I have done that differently?

so i create a new style.css file? and when it says create a new directory in wp-content/themes, does that just mean I create a new folder?
