I am new to WordPress but not to programming or design and I have had every problem imaginable since I started using WordpPress. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. I have been trying to solve my most recent problem(s) for a few days now and I just can't take it anymore.

    I am having several problems...

    1. My website will not center
I am using a #wrapper div and have included it in my CSS and PHP see below. My site loads aligned left no matter what I do. I am using WordPress to display my repeating background as I couldn't call the background using CSS and PHP I tried it several ways and it never worked.

    2. My header and body image do not align unless everything is pushed left. Though I am aiming for center. The header image is handled by my CSS and PHP coding the background image by WordPress custom background. As I said above I have tried moving the background image into my PHP and CSS with no luck.

    3. The wrapper does not center. My wrapper will only align left not sure why, see CSS and PHP below. It seems to go where ever the header is and does not work for the footer.php or index.php. I checked for stray divs in my footer and index none to be found. So I don't know what the issue is.

    4. Last but not least, a horizontal scroll bar I can't get rid of I have tried adjusting the width of the site down as far as possible (900px) but the horizontal scroll bar persists. I have also tried several iterations of "no scroll" and "hide overflow".

Heres a link to my site janellasjanell.com and the code, both PHP and CSS below.

If you need to see more code just ask, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of work.

I would love to use Firebug as a matter of fact it was suggested to me before I started this project however I am running 10.3.9 OSX there is no version of Firebug compatible with my version of Firefox and I can't update Firefox because of my operating system and I can't update my operating system because of my Mac components and yes I would love to buy a new one (Mac that is) but that is not an option right now.

So I am taking any and all suggestions.....
