    I created a network. Seems to work.
    I created two sites. test1 and test2. Seems to work.
    But, when I surf to any of those, js/css are not found.
    I am using paths (i.e. localhost/pages/test1 and localhost/pages/test2)

    If I am going to the root (i.e. localhost/pages) everything is correct.

    The css path in the sites is

    http://localhost/pages/test1/wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/......

    Notice the test1 in the path.

    My htaccess is:

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /pages/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) home/itaymoav/dev/lmspages/$2 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ home/itaymoav/dev/lmspages/$2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    Where did I go wrong?

  2. Is allowoverride set to all on your httpd.conf?

    Here is my relevant entries

    <Directory "/var/www/pages>
      Options All
      AllowOverride All
      Order allow,deny
      Allow from all
    </Directory>

    /var/www/pages is a ln -s to the root folder of wordpress on my machine.
    I do have follow simlink, I have three more sites on my machine that use mod rewrite and are under a simlink
