[resolved] Cryptic property and neighborhood amenities (8 posts)

Instead of seeing nice, intelligible property and neighborhood amenities, I'm seeing cryptic values. For instance:

    cent_ht: 1lt_sz_unit: acreslse_trms: per_mntlse_type: ind_grscent_ac: 1frplce: 1

Seems to be a common problem because a google of 'cent_ht lt_sz_unit' turns up lots of sites that look like this. An example URL from the site I'm working on is: http://www.marksilla.com/property/tx/round-rock/78664/mesa-ridge/1314-wayne-dr/515cc0c4d37bb668d800000b/

I was not able to find a solution with google.

    Hey pstoaks,

The problem here is not plugin related but theme dependent instead. Both Columbus and the plugin share a folder named 'blueprint' and the one placed in the theme is with a higher priority than the one from the plugin.

If you replace the /columbus/blueprint/functions/formatting.php with /placester/blueprint/functions/formatting.php (so that the plugin file overrides the theme's file) it should be okay.

Let me know if there is anything missing from the translations and we will initiate the update process for the theme.

It doesn't look like the functions.php from the plugins is compatible with the theme. I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function pls_get_currency_symbol() in /home/newstrea/public_html/marksilla.com/wp-content/themes/columbus/blueprint/functions/formatting.php on line 105

I just installed both theme and plugin yesterday through WordPress, so I believe I have the latest versions of both.

I'm trying to merge the two files, but it's a little tricky as it looks like some of the changes are pretty extensive. The theme is version 1.7.4, the plugin is version 1.1.6.

I did the merge as best I could, and I get no error but there is no improvement in behavior. Clearly there are some significant differences between the plugin and theme version. If you have an updated version of the theme that will work with the plugin, that would be great.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hey pstoaks,

We have uploaded for a review an updated version of Columbus, you can download the new archive from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/columbus.1.7.5.zip?nostats=1

There are only two files changed in 1.7.5 compared to 1.7.4:

    - blueprint/functions/formatting.php
    - custom/property-details.php

You can directly replace them safely with your current install or see the changelog here with the additions in the new files: http://themes.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?old_path=/columbus/1.7.4&new_path=/columbus/1.7.5

The new theme would be officially updated on WordPress.org after the Theme Reviewers team is ready with the review of the themes submitted before Columbus.
