Cron jobs not working in 3.5 (10 posts)

Since I have installed WordPress 3.5 my cron jobs are not executing.

Whether it is scheduling a post or running garbage collection for WP Super Cache. All of my scheduled posts show up as missed schedule.

I am using the WP Cron Control plugin to view my cron jobs and they are there, but they are not being executed. I can manually run them from the plugin, but they are not being run automatically.

    Any suggestions?

Are there any errors in your error log that point to the problem of WP cron?

Nothing of WP cron in the error log, I am seeing this error over and over again:

PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/stor1-wc2-dfw1/448604/www.thinkcomputers.org/web/content/wp-content/plugins/disqus-comment-system/disqus.php:1194) in /mnt/stor1-wc2-dfw1/448604/www.thinkcomputers.org/web/content/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876

Not sure if that has anything to do with it

Crons are not running for scheduled posts in WordPress 3.5 either. Tried it on two updated sites with no luck.

    Found this error so far:

WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = '_transient_doing_cron' LIMIT 1 made by _get_cron_lock

    Any ideas?

Interesting. Can you disable the Disqus plugin and see if cron runs as it should?

Interesting, disabling the Disqus plugin fixes the issue...

Actually on second thought it does not. I have the disqus plugin disabled for a few hours and another scheduled post was missed, I'm at a total loss as to whats going on

I've disabled every single plugin and the posts still miss schedule

I downgraded wordpress to the the previous version and the same thing is happening...now I have no clue what to do

Can't tell if this was resolved. When I upgraded to 3.5, cron stopped working for a batch email job. Yesterday, decided to check wp-config and found this:

    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true);

I don't know how that appeared or whether it had anyrhing to do with the upgrade to 3.5, but I disabled the line and cron is again working fine.
