I'm not trying to get away with any funny business here, I just want to find out the right thing to do.
Every site I have made so far has been my own theme. However, I am now creating a site with a premium theme as chosen by the client.
At the bottom of the theme, is the Powered by WordPress label and Theme designed by xxx. What are the copyright rules here? Can I remove this and put a link to my own design company? Or would I have to leave the theme designer credit in place? Or could I put both?
In this instance I am pretty much using the theme as is, but I have an upcoming project where I will be using a premium theme but designing my own child theme. Do the rules differ in this instance?
