When I download a theme and use it, I always wind up making some changes to it. Often it doesn't look much like the original theme anymore, but I still leave the credit on it for the themebuilder.
But I recently downloaded a theme and changed it so vastly that it is nothing like the original in either function or form. Basically I stripped it to its skeleton and re-built it completely differently. Since it looks nothing like the original, should I still credit the themebuilder? Do you think they would even want credit for something that looks nothing like their original? (They might not like it and might not want to be associated with it - LOL.)
Just curious what others thought.
