oh I forgot to ask how does the WordPress.org work. I have a hosting company right now that I host my http://www.knssconsulting.com website on. How would I do that with WordPress.org. Would I have to FTP the entire site and it would be able use the DNS name knssconsulting.com?

    Or how does it work?

the hosting company I am with doesn’t have forwarding so I couldn’t forward the domain name to another site.

    Thanks,

    Last question,

what if I have a wordpress.com is there a way to upgrade that one to the wordpress.org so that everyone that has joined the RSS feed will still receive my posts?

    Thanks

    How would that work?

is there a way to upgrade that one to the wordpress.org

Not upgraded, no. Assuming you padi wordpress.com to use your own domain name, you would have install WordPress onto your own site, import the content from your wordpress.com site, set the new site up and then arrange to have the domain name transferred back to your own site again.

    Sorry Esmi,

I don’t understand answer #2. would I be able to use the knssconsulting.com DNS. I read over what you sent me too but it doesn’t say if it is just accessing the database or if you are actually hosting the site for the web hosting company.

    Thanks,

would I be able to use the knssconsulting.com DNS

    For a wordpress.org site, yes.
