Creating syndication links in sidebar (6 posts)

I've just started a blog at http://www.accessconsultinginc.com/blog using WordPress 2.0.5 and the default 1.6 theme.

I'd like to add RSS and other feed links to the sidebar. Where can I find a plugin that will allow me to do this?

    Thanks.

I don't know of any. Those links (and graphical gizmos) usually are added manually to the sidebar.php of your active theme.

Actually, you have already RSS links in your footer - just remove the word "feed:" from them to make them work.

Thanks for the advice about deleting "feed:". Worked great.

There are some RSS/feed widgets that'll do what you're after (assuming I understood the question).

In fact, I think one comes with the initial widget install.

This all assumes you have a widget enabled theme or are willing to put a few minutes into converting yours, of course. More info: http://automattic.com/code/widgets/

    heh. I mis-understood the question!

But maybe there are "chiclet" widgets out there as well.

Don't know if this helps but I am using these.

The problem with these is that they only takes you to their register page and does not automatically add the the blog if you are already a subscriber to that feed. trying to find the automatic buttons.
Just a newbie to blogs and rss
