I'm trying to create a home page for my site (currently http://www.coolpillows.com) that will be a static page. As explained in this helpful article I found thanks to this forum:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
The home page I'm envisioning wouldn't have "Categories" and "Archives" over there on the left column. I'm using Atahualpa as my theme and this may be a question for that theme's settings. There is a whole admin interface for controlling the CSS for the theme and I believe I can turn off anything occurring in the left-hand column.
But I'm trying to understand if got this right. I've created a static page, currently called "Home." And conceivably, the "Blog" page and others could sit under this home page, with different layouts. How might I implement this?
Thanks in advance all!
Hope this makes sense.
