Creating space between button and footer

I moved the Comments button in each post to the bottom of the post. But now this interferes with the text in the footer.
So what do I need to change to create space between the Comment button and the footer text?
It’s probably in the stylesheet, but I can’t figure it out. Changing the margin on the Comment button doesn’t move the footer. And changing the margin on the footer just pushes the next post downward.
