Support » Plugin: Comic Easel » Creating custom template for a comic page

  • Hi,
I am a bit of a php noob so please excuse my idiocy.
I want to create a stand alone page to display my comics that isn’t using the default page template. By default it uses either the theme’s “index.php” and the “single.php” files as the templates.

i followed some steps from this post

Frumph suggested making “single-comic.php” and “content-comic.php” which I did but it still doesn’t work. Im assuming i’m just putting the injection code in the wrong place or something. I was wondering if someone could paste their “single-comic.php” and “content-comic.php” code for me to compare mine to.

or if you have another suggestion of what i’m doing wrong id love to hear it.

    cheers!

I found a good way to do it and that’s by actually using the chapters taxonomy template file

that way when you go to yourcomic.com/chapters/<chapter-name>/ it brings up the custom template you created which can have anything from the current comic and all of the archives with it

I am putting together one as we speak for comicpress for next release
