If you will help me, it will be greatly appreciated! I will definitely send karma points your way! ;-)

I'm a student who was asked to design a site (http://sparksleep.com), so I have no formal knowledge of coding. My client first outlined needs that did not require CMS, so I designed the site completely in XHTML and CSS. Then he called me up one night and told me that he wanted CMS and that it had to be finished in a week. :-(

I've been reading a lot, but have not found a way to create a theme or integrate wordpress into this current site that I have designed.

    My issues are
    1) The index.html page does not have content, only certain pages. How would I go about doing that?
    2) Uhm .. where to begin?

I want to use WordPress because my client insists on SEO (and because it's also the best thing since sliced bread), which I completely understand. It's just so difficult because my focus is on design and he wants me to code so much ...

If you could lead me to articles or help me, I will definitely try to help somehow in return. Thank you so much!
