• Hi,
I am trying to create a page and inlcude posts from a specific category. I want to be able to have an “intro paragraph” to the category with some images, followed by the posts.

Does anyone know if/how this is possible.

I tried using the RunPHP hack, but it did not work. The php code just showed up in the page. Ideally, this would be the easiest and quickest way I’ve found so far. But it didn’t work.

I see that when you create categories there is a place for a description. Where does this description go? Can I have it displayed at the top of a category page? That would be easy and great too!

    Thanks foryour help!
    Kathy

  • Nobody searching? Nobody reading the Codex???

Using a category page works in most cases, but what if you need to display posts from a specific category on a page directly underneath the root? I’m trying to get a page located at http://server.com/category/ to use the category template, but there’s no way to set the category heirarchy that way that I could find.

I’m doing some ugly hacks currently but would love to be able to make categories and their nice templates do what I want.

    <big kiss> moshu…

I looked and looked and learned a lot about a lot of other things. But I missed that page. It looks as if it might work for me. I’m not quite getting creating the additional pages, but I’ll fiddle with it for a while.

Sometimes it is hard to look up stuff when one does not know the jargon yet.

    Thanks -with crossed fingers!,
