   I would like to be able to create a gallery of images. That is to say a bunch of thumbnails, linked to a bunch of corresponding images.

   1. Does Word press have a gallery plug-in?

   2. Can a gallery, as described above, be created within a post? so for example I would have a small thumbnail gallery of "this week's pictures" within a post, each thumbnail would link to an image somehow.

   WordPress has basic gallery functionality built in

   There are also plenty of other decent gallery plugins if the basic WP one doesn't do it for you.

   Just go to 'Add new' under Plugins on the left hand side bar of your admin panel and search 'gallery'

   Just search the wordpress plugin database. You'll find a lot of plugin for gallery based solution
