Hi there!
No need to install several instances of the plugin – you can add several meetups and assign them colors.
Go to YOURSITEHERE/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_meetup_groups
This short video walks you through the process: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRzHqeLKG6w
Oh wow, I totally missed that!! Thank you and especially thanks for the video.
Is there any way to isolate each group’s calendar using shortcodes? So as to display each group’s calendar on a different post/page?
Sadly I haven’t found any publicly published option for this. There’s just the calendar shortcode and the only modifications seem to be around the number of months shown.
Instructions
========
Once you have any groups added, your event posts will automatically start showing up (as described below). There is one shortcode, [wp-meetup-calendar], which has a few options for you to play with.
[wp-meetup-calendar] will create a calendar showing the next two months worth of events, linking to each one, and splitting groups up into different colors.
[wp-meetup-calendar number_of_months=5] will create a calendar showing the next 5 months (or however many months you specify!) of events.
[wp-meetup-calendar start_month=-2 end_month=3] – the values for these shortcode options are relative to the current month. Since start_month is negative here, then the calendar will show the previous two months’ worth of events, as well as the next 3 months’ worth of events. Note that this will show 5 months total worth of events! (2 previous months plus the 3 next months).
[wp-meetup-calendar start_month=-1 number_of_months=3] – the three shortcode attributes can be combined in various intuitive ways. This example shows a total of three months worth of events, starting with the previous month’s.
elijahv,
Thank you for helping out with this! Great video tutorial.
