• Does anyone have info on how to set up a mysql database on CBeyond web hosting? I have a client hosted with them and I’m not seeing any way to create a DB within their crappy control panel. I’ve tried getting in touch with their tech support but they are totally ignoring my support requests.

  • I’ve never heard of CBeyond, however, if you cannot easily find the method of setting up the database using their interface and they don’t have a FAQ or Knowledge Base that gives you the steps to accomplish it AND their support techs are not answering a question that is simple for them to resolve, I’d consider advising your client to switch to a different hosting provider.

That is definitely my next step, as long as the client is willing to make the move. It is amazing how terrible some of these more expensive hosts are as compared to the cheaper places like GoDaddy, BlueHost, etc.

I too am running into issues with Cbeyond. The techs may be nice and answer the phones, but they have no idea how to setup WordPress nor how to help me at all!

Did you ever figure it out with them? Trying to get my Database information for the wp-config.php file.

    Thanks,
    Lorne

PS-GoDaddy is neither cheap nor good. I’d stay away from them as their hosting is very slow as well. I use Justhost for my site and it’s great.
